Blurb:
She was my enemy…
I was her new captor….

She was a tiny little temptress of a woman that made my blood sing for vengeance. I should be punishing her…breaking her from the inside out after finding her in my father’s clutches.

But when I discover the truth that she is just as much as a victim of my father's wrongdoings as I am, I can’t follow through.

I know then that I can’t break my little mouse...not after she’s lured me in with her big blue doe eyes, strawberry blonde hair, and those pink painted lips that beg to be kissed again, and again.

I don't think things can get any better...but then she makes me an offer I can't refuse… her body, her virginity, and her complete submission. The only thing she wants in return: help finding her sister.

What she fails to realize is that even after helping her find her sister I can't just let her go. She knows too much, she's become a liability...but I have a plan to make certain she’ll never leave or escape me.

A plan that involves filling her womb with my filthy seed until I make certain a piece of myself sticks. A plan that will make her the Queen of the Rossi Empire.

**This is book two in the series but it can be read as a complete standalone. It is a full-length novel that contains NO-CLIFFHANGERS, NO CHEATING, and has a HEA. It is a dark mafia/crime romance and contains subject matter not suitable for all readers.

Audiobook Review - The Jock Script
The Jock Script - Alexander Cendese, Lane Hayes

This is book #3 in The Script Club series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel. To avoid spoilers, and to understand the series, I recommend reading this series in order.

Asher has felt lonely for too long.  He has been busy with work and finally making time for himself.  When the hookup of his choice shows up and is more than promised - it frightens him with what could go wrong.

Blake is excited that he ends up with what he wanted.  When this gets more complicated, he is not sure how to move forward.  Then he finds out just how complicated it is going to be.

The story is solid and moves at a good steady pace.  The narrator is really good, which enhances the book itself.  I was really relaxed and listening, enjoying each chapter.  This author is a 1-click for me and this is another reason why.  I give this 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Drew and Cleevs love hockey, but they love each other more. How can the men find a way to save what matters most?

Todd Cleever and Drew Simon are crazy about each other. They started dating three years ago when “Cleevs” was a rookie defenseman for the Chicago Ice. Drew, the team’s captain, was a few years older than Cleevs. Both men were deep in the closet, but it didn’t take long for them to fall in love.

Cleevs was traded to the Bethesda Barracudas a year later, causing a heartbreaking separation. Ever since, they’ve skated around the problem with occasional stolen nights together and brief vacations under the guise of “friends,” but two years of living apart have taken their toll.

As the holiday approaches, Drew and Cleevs decide things have to change. Still, with their careers and two professional hockey teams in the way, how can they score the game-winning goal and save everything they cherish most?

If you like fierce love, a smallish age gap, exciting hockey, and a steely determination to make things work—not to mention enough steam to fog up all your windows and a fantastic HEA—this is the book for you. The novella contains about 43,000 words of sparkling holiday romance.

About the Authors:

Ryan Taylor and Joshua Harwood met in law school and were married in 2017. They live in a suburb of Washington, DC and share their home with a big, cuddly German shepherd. Ryan and Josh enjoy travel, friends, and advocating for causes dear to their hearts. Ryan also loves to swim, and Josh likes to putter in the garden whenever he can. The romance they were so lucky to find with each other inspires their stories about love between out and proud men.

The Legacy - Elle Kennedy

This is book #5 in the Off-Campus series.  This book should be read in the order listed.  The characters and story will give spoilers if read out of order.

We visit four couples who are dear to our heart in this amazing book.  Logan & Grace, Dean & Allie, Garrett & Hannah as well as Tucker & Sabrina.  We get to take a look at all of them, where they are and what plans are for the future.

This book was a complete joy to read.  Totally filled with funny, hot, and even crazy.  I felt like this was an EPIC piece of their lives to enjoy.  I read it all in one go - and I am already anxious to read it again.  This is why the author is an absolute 1-click for me. I give this a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Teamwork
Gone But Not Forgotten - Charlie Cochet

This is book 1 in a brand new series, TIN. This story can be read on its own - but I would recommend reading the THIRDS series beforehand. If you haven't then it is not only an excellent reference to these characters, it is the story before the story.

Dexter returns to us in this TIN series opener as AKA "Chaos."  Likewise, his hunky husband returns as his partner Sloane AKA "Atlas."  Learning to enjoy and hate his job at the same time - he goes on one of the worst missions of his career.  Learning to be a spy has been fun and a challenge, but sometimes it is not fun and games.

Sloane knows this latest task is within their wheelhouse to solve.  It is going to take more than the normal assignment however, as they are up against a madman who is not afraid to kill to cover up his crimes.  While he has faith in their teams abilities to get this done - there are a lot of unknowns that can still go wrong.

I really enjoyed getting back into the Dex & Sloane life.  Reading about them and the adventures of their team is always a joy.  This new team seems to be coming right along.  I could not put this down it was so great!  I am already excited about the next story.  I give this a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Excerpt

“Shots!” Gio suddenly proclaimed. “I think we could all use a round of shots. What do you say?” He looked up at Lucien and smiled. “Join me in a round of shots. Break the ice.”

“Nothing feels icy to me,” Lucien murmured, while the fingers on Calder’s waist tightened.

He suddenly felt bad. He was intruding like an annoying little brother. Yes, his intention had been to stop Lucien from hitting on this guy, but now that he was standing there, he felt how wrong it was. What Lucien did and who he slept with was none of his business. He was supposed to be working on getting rid of the bad blood between him and Lucien, not making matters worse.

“None for me,” Calder said softly. “I’ll grab the drinks and get out of your way.”

Gio surprised him by cupping the side of his face with a warm calloused hand. “Oh no, sweetness. We don’t want you going anywhere. You’ve got to stay.” Gio looked over Calder’s shoulder at Lucien. “We want him to stay, right?”

Calder tensed, waiting for the rejection, but Lucien shocked him even more by pulling him in tighter so that he could feel Lucien’s groin against the small of his back. Those long fingers slipped down from his waist to caress his hip bone, sending the most delicious tingles all over his body.

“Stay. Have a shot with us,” Lucian pressed. His voice was warm and so very tempting. Calder couldn’t remember ever hearing Lucien talk to him like that. He wanted to live in that voice. Just curl up in it like a warm, handmade quilt.

Releasing him, Gio turned to the bartender as she delivered Lucien’s and Calder’s mix of drinks and ordered a round of shots. Calder didn’t hear what he’d ordered exactly because Gio had also slotted himself better against Calder, causing his brain to short out. He was now in the one place he’d never thought he’d be—a Gio-Lucien sammich. Even with all their clothes on, it was now his favorite kind of sandwich. He would happily eat it every day for the rest of his life.

Calder was too tongue-tied to manage words. He nodded. At least he thought he nodded. He must have done something, because Gio’s smile grew wider. A second hand landed on his hip right where Lucien’s was.

The shots arrived, and Gio slid one over to Lucien before physically placing one in Calder’s hand as if he knew that his brain wasn’t in control of his body any longer. He watched as Gio clicked his shot glass on Lucien’s and then Calder’s. Tipping his head back, he sent the amber liquid down his long, sexy throat. Calder did the same without a thought. The burn was enough to wake him out of his stupor.

Sucking in a harsh breath, he coughed several times while slamming his shot glass on the bar. Gio grabbed his hand again and shoved a drink into it. Without thinking, Calder sipped it, relieved that it was his gin and tonic. The addition of more alcohol to his system probably wasn’t the smartest, but at least it had gotten rid of his coughing.

When he could breathe, he took a deep drink and set the glass on the bar to find Gio smiling at him while Lucien’s hand continued to dig possessively into his hip.

You okay?” Lucien inquired. For once, the question didn’t sound spiteful or mean. There was genuine concern in his tone.

Calder managed a small nod and Gio laughed.

Of course he’s okay. What are you drinking, sweetness?” Before Calder could answer, Gio leaned in and licked his bottom lip, sucking it into his mouth for a second, then releasing it with a wet pop. “Mmm…gin and tonic. Not bad.”

Calder barely heard the words. It was just a rush of blood past his ears as it raced to his steadily hardening dick.

As Gio moved away, he reached past Calder and pulled Lucien close. “And what are you drinking?” Calder watched as Gio licked his way into Lucien’s slack, welcoming mouth. He didn’t know what turned him on more—actually kissing Gio or watching Gio kiss Lucien. It defied all logic, but it was clear that his libido had zero interest in logic. He only wanted to know all the wonderful things Gio could do with his mouth.

Gio released Lucien and licked his own lips slowly. His dark eyes had turned black as his pupils dilated with desire. “I can tell this is going to be a fun night already. I suggest we head to my place so we can get more comfortable and less likely to be arrested.”

We? Calder croaked out.

Tangled Warriors (The Weavers Circle, #4)Tangled Warriors by Jocelynn Drake
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book #4 in The Weavers Circle series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader understanding, and to avoid any spoilers, I recommend reading this incredible series in order.

Calder & Lucien are not getting along. It is interrupting their fellow weavers and may put them all in danger. What can be done to fix this animosity? It has been suggested there is ore to this fighting. Will they listen and learn?

Gio is a nice surprise in a very hot package. When he meets Calder & Lucien the scales tip in their favor and they find that the suggestion to get together was all they needed. Now they want Gio in a more permanent way. If only changing his mind were that easy.

This story has a fast pace and the story moves along quickly. Great addition to the series. The new characters add spice and just a bit more. I loved reading about the men coming together and making this work. Now I cannot wait for the next book!

Encore - Eden Finley

This is book #4 in the Famous series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers and greater understand the characters, I recommend reading in the order the author intended.

Blake has promised Jordan he will honor the bet they made, and do the movie together.  Little does he know that working day in and day out with him will draw them closer.  Then Jordan has issues with his boyfriend and the world tips on its axis.

Jordan has just made a big life change and is not sure what to do or where to go.  Thank goodness Blake was there and can help him hide.  While they are waiting to finish the film, he might as well get to know the rest of the guys.

This was a very real story to me.  I loved the characters!  This series is amazing and the guys from Eleven are so fun to read.  I give this a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Book Blurb:

I joined Jameson Force Security for three reasons: the missions, the danger, and the money. I definitely didn’t join the team to be an overpriced babysitter for a spoiled princess. Ask anyone who knows me, and they’ll tell you Jackson Gale is an adventurer through and through. Yet here I am, halfway across the world, watching over Princess Camille of the House Winterbourne. Even her name sounds stuck up.

After arriving in Bretaria, I realize that Princess Camille is nothing that I expected. Beautiful, smart, and sophisticated, Camille is the very picture of elegance and grace. But under her perfect façade, she is funny, adventurous, sexy as hell, and impossible to resist. And that is a dangerous combination.

The closer Camille and I become, the more obvious it is that while she and I are compatible in many ways, our destinies are not. She has a duty to the monarchy, and I’m just an average American who’s fallen for a princess. Everyone says we can’t be together, but how does one walk away from the other half of their heart?

Code Name: Tiara (Jameson Force Security #7)Code Name: Tiara by Sawyer Bennett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book # 7 in the Jameson Force Security series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. To enjoy the series, and to avoid any spoilers, I recommend reading this sexy series in order.

Jackson thinks he will be basically babysitting a spoiled brat when he gets the assignment to watch over Princess Camille. She turns out to be a pleasant surprise. What he does not expect is to be so hot and heavy over her he is willing to do anything she asks.

Princess Camille is not happy with being left in the dark with whatever the latest threat on her family must be. She is preparing as best she can to take over her father's duties when he is ready. Now she has the sparks between her and Jackson to contend with.

This is a very good story from the characters, the heat, the pacing, and so much more. Lots of familiar characters for fans of the series to be happy as well as plenty of surprises to keep you wanting to turn that page also. I did not want to put it down!

The Austrian (Men Of The World, #8)The Austrian by J.O. Mantel
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is book #8 in the Men Of The World series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading the series in order.

Deacon does not get a long with the latest bachelor, Flynn. The dislike appears to be mutual. Putting on a show in the middle of a Pandemic is one thing, a dating show is even worse that imagined.

Flynn does not see the point in trying to woo a bachelor who is obviously a player. When they both agree to not being interested in one another, it seems that acting will come into play. Then the dating takes an unexpected turn..........

This was a slow burn in every sense of the word. I felt like this story was too wordy, and the characters did not feel real to me for the first half of the book. Then it started to pick up and the so did the heat.

I’ve always been textbook people pleaser with third-degree middle child syndrome.
Putting everyone else first with a smile on my face was working out pretty well for me when out of nowhere, Archer Bliss — a growly single dad — drops a bomb on my carefully constructed happy life.
It seems my boyfriend has been cheating on me with Archer’s girlfriend. Even worse? She’s my coworker and secret archnemesis.

The old me would have forgiven them and wished them the best.

But the new me has had enough.

So, I do the (ir)rational thing and dump my lunch all over the backstabbing cheaters. Then I plant a kiss right on Archer’s very kissable lips right in front of both of them.

That’s right — I started a war by serving up a dish called revenge, which is best served with lips and lo mein.

And now, I’ve somehow teamed up with this hunky beast of a man to get even with our cheating exes.

At least it started that way, but now it’s an excuse to spend time together… some of which is horizontal.

The catch? He’s got three kids who need him, and I’m still trying to figure out who I am. Starting a romance with each of us fresh out of a messy breakup is only asking for trouble.

But the new me likes trouble.
And Archer Bliss is trouble with a capital T.

Love & Other Trouble: A Single Dad Rom ComLove & Other Trouble: A Single Dad Rom Com by Jackie Walker
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book is technically a stand alone novel. Please use caution if you have not read the author's works for the Amos Family. Just wanted to warn potential readers that this is child #3, in the Amos family.

CJ cannot believe what she has heard! She has been cheated on. When she learns that she was the fool, she dumps the cheater and kisses the messenger. With an exciting start, this story continues with hijinks, humor and revenge.

Archer is a single dad of 3, and very attracted to the amazing CJ right from the start. It took a while for me to really get into this story. I found it to be a bit wordy and more like diary entries. Once I got over my issues the story moved right along and made me laugh plenty. While I had issues with the beginning, this is a fun read.

One day during the COVID quarantine (a.k.a. the dark time), Jackie was reading yet another laugh a minute rom-com by Lucy Score or Pippa Grant, and she thought to herself - hey, I can do that. And so, she did and it turned out even better than even she thought possible.

Jackie is a fresh face on the romance author scene destined to shake things up with her signature blend of light-hearted comedy, over the top characters and romantic heartwarming moments. A voracious romance reader herself, Jackie writes stories featuring the four S's: Snark, Swoons, Steam and Sarcasm. Her heroines are bad-ass and her heroes are easy on the eyes and heavy on the charm.

When she is not writing funny stories about swoony heroes and the women who get to play with them, she is reading all types of romance novels or taking care of her army of cats and her teenage son (who also speaks fluent sarcasm).

“Teach me,” Maverick whispered, eyes lowered.

Douglas inhaled shakily, overwhelmed by the trust Maverick was showing in him. Lifting his hands, he skimmed his middle fingers of each along Maverick’s skin from wrist to the end of his finger, receiving a tremble in return.

“It will be my pleasure.”

Reining in his libido because he knew what needed to be done first, he cupped Maverick’s chin with his forefinger and lifted his face to his. “Maverick, we have things to discuss before this can go any further.”

“Mav.”

Maverick’s eyes were heavy-lidded, and it took everything in Douglas to keep from closing the gap. Douglas blinked a few times and frowned. “Sorry?”

“Please, call me Mav.”

Douglas licked his lips and pulled back, releasing Mav. “Okay. Mav, take a seat. We have things to talk about.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

Maverick—Mav—stumbled over to the sofa opposite, which was much farther than Douglas wanted him to be, but a suitable distance to allow Douglas to think properly. When Mav sat, Douglas took a breath.

“Before we go any further, we need to decide what it is you want from this relationship. What do you like? What don’t you like? And safe words are a few questions.” Mav cleared his throat, but Douglas held up a hand. “Let me ask you one at a time, and you need to think before you answer. I will take whatever you say as truthful unless your body language says otherwise.” Mav nodded. “I think I have an idea, but tell me, what don’t you want?”

Mav gripped his own hands, rubbing the thumb of one over the back of the other as he contemplated Douglas’s question. “I don’t want to be hurt. Pain for me is just that, pain. I don’t have a high pain threshold, I don’t think.”

“I beg to differ.” When Mav raised his eyebrows in silent question, Douglas continued, “You manage to continue working when you have a migraine. Now, I’ve never suffered from them before, but I know they can be debilitating. If you have the strength to work through those, then your pain threshold is higher than you think.”

Mav tilted his head, and Douglas could see his brain whirling. “Regardless, though, I don’t like pain. I don’t find it sexy. I don’t find it arousing. I find it painful. It’s why I’ve shied away from BDSM in the past. I thought it was all about pain.”

Douglas narrowed his eyes. “What made you decide to research?”

Mav’s cheeks darkened until red stained his cheeks and neck. “After thinking about the massage and what you did, I was curious.” Douglas wasn’t sure if Mav was aware he was skimming his fingers across his own palms as he spoke, but the action heated Douglas’s blood.

I am Elouise East but feel free to call me Elli. I write sweet and steamy connections in gay romance. I also touch on taboo stories under the name Elouise R East.

Books that tell the stories where friendship and family are the focal point - be it blood family or chosen - is very important to me. That’s why I include a variety of personalities, talents, ages, situations and abilities as I believe a story needs, or a character needs. I want my characters to be real, to be relatable, to be free to have whatever views they tell me they have. And trust me, most of the time, I do not have any say in the matter!

My characters come to life on the page for me as well as my readers. Their stories unfold in front of me, and I have very little input into how they want to be shown. Just like real life, the lives of my characters change with every choice, every interaction and every conversation. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I write books that are emotionally realistic, even if liberties are taken with other aspects of my stories. I don’t know any other way to write. It comes from deep inside.

Who am I? A single parent to two children who make life worth living. An avid reader who still devours every book she can get her hands on. A student of learning about any subject that takes her fancy. An author of books she would read herself. And a romantic at heart who loves anything cheesy.

When Sparks Fly - Helena Hunting

Avery loves her life and the business she works with her sisters.  Well, she loves it most days.  With her best friend as her roommate it can be a good thing in the best way.  When tragedy strikes, however, things can change in an instant.

Declan doesn't know how much his best friend really means to him until it is literally almost too late.  Now he wants to to spoil her as best he can.  When the sparks start flying they both have to lean how to live with the heat turned up.  Can they compromise on the feelings that have begun?

I loved this story and I already wish for it to be on the big screen!  These characters were such a joy to read.  They author really brought them to life for me.  I enjoyed all the will they and won't they, and the heat does get turned up.....all the way!  I give this book a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Synopsis

The genius, the mechanic, and a new playbook…

George-

My brother’s friend is hot. If you’re into flannel-wearing lumbersexual former jocks who eat donuts for dinner and still scribble to-do lists on their palms. I’m not. I’m a serious scientist in my final of grad school. Okay, I admit I have few quirks of my own. I also have a broken truck and a boss who thinks I can help him find love. I’m in over my head. Help!

Aiden-

A few quirks? Really? George the weirdest dude I know. He wears capes in public, brings a book everywhere he goes, and loves all thing spooky. He’s also the smartest person on the planet—who somehow thinks I can help him write a How-To-Get-A-Date playbook for his boss. Yeah, that sounds suspicious. I know baseball; I don’t know anything about love. But I can’t say no. I’ve always had a soft spot for George. I just didn’t count on falling for my best friend’s nerdy brother. This is against the rules, isn’t it?

Rules of Play is an MM bisexual awakening story where opposites attract and shenanigans ensue!

“The Script Club?”

I grimaced. “Well, yeah. That name came later.”

“You really are a little weirdo, aren’t you?”

The twinkle in Aiden's eyes and his affectionate tone paired with an unlikely term of endearment were exactly what I needed to pull me from my infatuation-induced awkwardness.

I smacked his biceps playfully, then leaned against his side, staring up at the crescent moon in the twilight sky. “I am weird and I am proud.”

Aiden chuckled. “I like that about you. I like your idea too. It’s a good one. I should get in on that and collect a few new experiences before I quit the garage and move on to my next venture.”

“What would you do? I mean, what would you want to try?”

“I don’t know. Maybe something will come to me.” He set the half-eaten container of meatballs down and reached for his beer. “As for your boss…he needs a rule book.”

I shifted to face him. “What kind of rule book?”

“A dating rule book. It would be the equivalent of a sports playbook…a list of strategies and a backup plan if things go awry.”

“Okay, that makes sense. Step one, ask for a date.”

Aiden shook his head. “No. Don’t go in hot. Gotta practice a little finesse. It’s better to get to know someone—ask about their interests, share yours, and see if there’s anything there. Theoretically, that’s how I think it should work.”

“You’re right. They have to build a rapport.” I squinted. “He’s going to need an icebreaker.”

“Yeah, that makes sense. Hit me with your best shot.”

“Uh…what do you mean?” I stammered.

“Pretend you’re into me and you want to get to know me.” Aiden quirked a brow and wiggled his fingers. “Ask me something.”

“What are your interests?”

He made an obnoxious buzzer noise and rolled his eyes. “Wrong. That’s a date question. A lame one, too. Would you really walk up to someone and ask them what they’re into?”

“No, of course not.”

“Redo. You’re trying to get to know me, but you can’t be too forward, and you can’t make assumptions. Got it?” He waited for my nod of agreement and continued. “Pretend we’re standing at the coffee machine at work on a Monday morning. And…action.”

“O-kay…what did you do last weekend?”

Aiden smiled. “Good one. And my answer…not much. I went to that college ball game I told you about last week, watched a lot of basketball, made arrangements to schlep your Bronco here, and played pool with Kenny and a couple of high school buddies. You?”

“I studied and hung out with my friends.”

He stared at me long enough for me to wonder if I had meatball between my teeth.

“If that’s all you have to say, you just killed this conversation,” he deadpanned.

I chuckled. “I did not. It was your turn to ask me something. That’s how it works in real life. I’m not that big of a dork!”

“But what about your boss?”

Good point. “Newton is a big dork. Very big.”

“Right, so this is where rules come into play. You have to pay attention and take hints and clues to heart. Almost everything I mentioned about my weekend had a theme…sports. I told you what I’m interested in without announcing, ‘I like sports.’ If you really wanted to get in my pants, you’d ask me a sports-related question.”

I shot to my feet, whirling my cape like a true badass. “Who said anything about getting in your pants?”

Yes, I was entirely in favor of the idea, but I was pretty sure I hadn’t said it aloud.

“Isn’t that the end game?” Aiden flashed a devilish grin my way.

“No! I mean, maybe for you, but not for Newton. I don’t think he’s hoping for sex.”

“Then what’s the point?”

“Love!”

Aiden widened his eyes comically. “What’s that?”

“I don’t know,” I sighed in defeat, reclaiming my spot on the stoop next to him. “That’s why this is complicated.”

This is book #2, in The Script Club series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading in order intended.

George is a scientist who drives an older vehicle that wants to die. Aiden comes to his rescue however, and makes sure he can get a little more time out of the vehicle. In the mean time - they find they have some things in common.

Aiden has always liked George and has just recently discovered what that meant and how much. Choosing to spend more time together, they find a comfortable friendship that soon turns out to be so much more. The future for both is suddenly looking very bright.

I thought these characters were very sweet. I listened to this and found myself hoping we will see this couple again. The narrator made it an even better story as I was able to lay back and relax and just enjoy the book.
