The Choice - Allison J. Kennedy

This is the story of May, and how she had to already be a grown up, even as a young girl.  She was already being like a mother to her sibling.  As a teen, making choices is hard.  It touches on sensitive subjects like rape, abortion, and such.

Elijah AKA Alex also has had a hard road.  By the time they meet, he is the one who clearly sees May for who she is.  He does not see a broken girl, who has made hard choices.  He sees as he wants to be seen.  I think he also sees clearly.

This story is done so well.  It may be hard to hear or to read, but sometimes you just have to know what to say or what to do.  What if you are in that situation?  Really is nicely done and the tough subjects give us a clear picture.  You cannot save anyone but yourself.  I give this story a 3/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
