Maddie is sent by her boss to find the Prince. He is rumored to be in her hometown. She does meet up with him, but they do not tell each other who they really are. Maddie actually ends up news with him as someone kissing him on the beach! Her job then, as a reporter, is on the line since she did not recognize the man she was kissing,
Alex just wants to be accepted for who he is inside, not the Prince he is by title. While in Australia he feels like he can connect to Maddie and a friendship is born. The witty banter and sexy kisses are a big plus in this book. Which, by the way is a great story!
The royal family invite Maddie to Amorea and collude with her boss to have her write about Alex at the next big royal event. She stays with them for about a week and she and Alex get to know one another better. Alex is scared she will find scandal and write something poorly about his family and himself.
Alex and Maddie's story is really very heartfelt and sincere. Alex has fears that are real to any human being and with his title too....well let's just say I feel for him. Maddie is afraid to not write the article on Alex - since she would lose her job if she chooses not to.
I found this to be a very interesting story with good characters. I loved that they found their way and the surprise ending that Alex does for Maddie gave me chills. Really great read!!
