Summer and Cooper's story is a bit unusual. Summer needed a fiance in a hurry and she works with Warren, Cooper's cousin. Warren was going to help her out of her jam, but then he was in a car accident and sent his cousin to help instead.
Cooper Garrett is sexy, bad, and a little rough around the edges. He comes riding up on a motorcycle and thinks Summer Pettigrew is too good for him. So he leaves out some of the story...
Summer is not needing a man right now, just a fiance. Nothing permanent - not now. She and Cooper come to an understanding and the story grows from there. Suddenly the story is so big - they are already having an engagement party!
Summer does not want to cause her Grandmother any more harm. Her Grams is having heat troubles and she plays it up in the hopes Summer will make Cooper a permanent offer. What they don't know won't hurt anyone, right?
Cooper and Summer have to decide for themselves if real love can happen, if the past and pain can be overcome and of course if the truth comes out. Summer does not care what Cooper does for a living - just that he cares about her in a genuine way - not just for show.
Such a sweet story told by a true romance author. Charlotte Hughes has many great books and this one is at the top of the list. I enjoyed the story and found the character development to feel real and honest. I liked how they are together and gave them 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
