Back in Play (Power Play Book 2) - Lynda Aicher

This is the story of Scott and Rachel who click so quickly at a friends wedding!  He is trying to decide whether to retire from hockey, or keep skating on a bum knee.  Rachel knows her time with him is limited.  She has to be back in Atlanta soon to teach her class.

Scott wants to make some sort of play for her.  He has not been this interested in anyone in such a long time.  He has secrets he cannot share and has such a hard time trusting.  Can he open up to her and finally get past the pain?

Rachel has been hurt before.  She does not do long distance relationships.  She is just not sure she can let Scott go.  It is not helping that her brother is trying to come between them also.

Scott cannot take anymore from the stress of the negotiations and tells Rachel everything.  She helps him find his way and he begins to feel whole again.  Then he turns back to hockey and she feels betrayed.

Can love heal all wounds?  The chemistry between them is explosive!  The friendship was also needed.  He only seems to need her.  With Rachel he can get through anything.  Or can he?  Going home will make a difference this time, since he may be going home alone.

This is the 2nd book in the Power Play series, by Lynda Aicher. Her characters from the Wicked Play series are also featured in this book.  We get to see some character development for previous books and it makes us have the *feels*! I give it a solid 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
