Jill Parnell and Ryan Shaw meet at a mutual friends wedding. She asks him to play her boyfriend for about ten minutes to a potential employer. Her current employer just chose a nephew over her for a promotion.
Jill does not find out until later, that Ryan is the one who took her job. She finds it hard to separate him and the loss of the promotion. He wants to be her friend, and more and for her it is a bad situation.
Ryan, on the other hand, shows up everywhere with her friends. He seems to want to get to know her better. At work, he reminds her to be very specific with her cases. After work - he keep kissing her and blowing her mind.
Jill keeps looking for another job, since one of the partners where she is now wants her gone. Ryan defends her and is her ally. Turns out being sexy is not all he is good for.
Such a great story and another good part of the series. This is book # 7 in the Better Date Than Never series. I give it a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
