Kiki and Darren work together. Her family owns a party planning company that has taken off and gotten bigger. Darren is a DJ who has so much going on in his life he has no room for love.
Kiki decides one night that having a one night stand with him to get him out of her system is a good idea. He does not agree. He does not want to risk his job with her family.
Darren has dreams he wants to achieve. He plans to move on and make more money. He has other priorities that Kiki does not know about. He keeps his private life private.
When they choose to go running together and become friends, the lines start to blur. Can someone who makes your heart pound really be just a friend? Can they learn that love has room for other things to grow into it? Darren and Kiki must learn to make choices that put others first.
I found this story to be so compelling that I nearly cried when I had to put it down. The characters are so moving and real. I loved the banter. These authors never let me down. I give this story a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
